Well, wow, a recent piece of mine, "Down for the Count", got featured on Boing Boing. Totally unexpected. I logged in yesterday and saw that I had a whole slew of new messages which I thought was a bit odd seeing that I'm not a tremendously popular artist.
I really try to create pieces that I find funny or interesting and I admit it's gratifying when other people think something I did is funny or interesting too. I honestly don't expect anyone else to be entertained by my weird sense of humor. Thanks to everyone who has favorited Down for the Count and thank you especially to those people who've left comments.
In the past I've always been inspired to really throw myself into new art after I've attended conventions and heard the feedback from my work and this experience has been the same.

Honestly, anything that has the Count displaying his vampiric might is going to be popular. Unless it involves rule 34. A-jibblyjibblyjibbly.
Congrats on the feature!
fully deserved and much more!
How can I get this as a t-shirt? If you make it happen, I will purchase it. Mail me at MachineIV at Gmail if you get a link to a shirt.
Got a link? I'd love to see where it was featured on Boing Boing.
Out of all of us, you're probably the one destined for the most success, especially if you keep up these kind of paintings.
I always thought that Shari was getting close to really nailing something down with her plushies. Jeff and I both suggested that she try getting them into local places.
I'm sure she could sell some just based on cuteness and originality. Still, for people like us, conventions are the perfect niche for anime type art and merchandise. Hard to beat 30K anime fans in one building for a weekend. Your art has more widespread appeal, especially with your comedic pieces. I could see your paintings in a gallery.
